Byanca & Bailey — Engagements, Country Air and the Beginning of Forever

There’s something about engagement photographs that feels beautifully uncomplicated.

No timelines to follow, no guests waiting, no formalities — just two people, together, in that little in-between season where the wedding is becoming real but there is still so much anticipation ahead.

For Byanca and Bailey, their engagement session was exactly that.

Relaxed, affectionate and completely natural.

I love photographs that feel like they belong to the people in them rather than to a particular trend, and these two made that incredibly easy. There was no need to manufacture a moment between them. The quiet glances, the laughter, the way they naturally reached for one another — all of those little things were already there.

And then there are photographs like this one.

A little windswept. A little imperfect. Completely connected.

The kind of image that feels less like posing for a camera and more like catching a fraction of a second that might otherwise have disappeared.

That is always what I’m looking for when I photograph couples.

Of course, beautiful portraits matter. But the photographs that become the most precious over time are often the ones that remind you exactly how it felt to be together at that point in your lives.

Byanca and Bailey’s wedding is still ahead of them, and I already know it’s going to be such a special day to document.

For now, this chapter belongs to the two of them — engaged, excited, and somewhere between yes and I do.
