FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH MY UNEDITED, RAW PICTURES, PLEASE?
In short, no. We provide a full service, and you hire us for our style. Our unedited images are not in a format a standard person can open, and also are shot in a way specifically for our editing style. We do not give our raw images, as we don't believe in handing over a half written novel, or a half constructed house. The raw files are the foundation of our specific, artistic style.
YOU WILL AIR BRUSH ME TO LOOK YOUNGER AND SKINNIER - RIGHT?
I photography every couple to in the best light possible, with attention to detail. Unfortunately, photography captures what is there. My editing style is extremely natural, and I edit the overall photograph, paying attention to White Balance, Exposure, Cropping and sometimes straightening an image.
I don't retouch an image, which is different to editing. Photo retouching, or photo enhancing, is generally done by a skilled photoshop technician. I highly recommend you booking a skilled make up artist and paying attention to getting enough sleep and water before your wedding day to ensure you look your best!
If there is something you really just wanted retouched, then please get in touch and I can organise a professional Photo Retoucher to quote/assist you.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO HAVE MY FLOWERS ARRIVE?
It is best to let your florist know that you need your flowers with plenty of time. If I am arriving at 1pm, have your florist deliver them at 12pm for example.
HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING WILL I GET MY PHOTOS?
Digital sneak peeks will arrive 24-48 hours after your wedding. Full digital sets will be delivered to you 12 weeks after you wedding day. Albums and prints will be dependent upon when you order them from me. Albums can take up to 7 weeks from time of order for delivery, prints 3 weeks from time of order.
CAN YOU RECOMMEND A VIDEOGRAPHER?
Yes, we work with a number of skilled videographers who compliment our shooting style. Please get in touch!
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS OR ELOPEMENTS?

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I always carry two, Canon 5d, Mark3 with me. I use a Fiji XT1 with 50m and 35mm lens. I use a variety of lens, including, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 135mm, 200mm and on the day will have approximately 8 lens with me including tiltshift and other artistic lens. I use a Bronica 120mm film camera, and also a Roliflex 120 Film Camera. I use Portra 400H film.
WHERE DO YOU MEET US?
I do all my meetings at the Shingle Inn at 190 Oxford Street, Bulimba. They really look after us and this allows me time to focus on you.
WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES IN BOTH COLOUR AND BLACK AND WHITE?
We shoot for the image. Sometimes, light looks best in colour, other times in monochrome. With film, we quite often will use monochrome film. These images cannot be made into colour. Please ask before we shoot your wedding if you are interested in colour only selections.
WILL YOU WORK OFF A SHOT LIST FROM PINTEREST?
In short no. I have years of experience documenting many weddings and there is no list out there that can better what I will capture for you. I will work from a shot list for your family portraits but for the remaining part of the day, we will choose the best light on the day and I have a work flow I will work from.
CAN YOU MEET US AT THE VENUE TO GO OVER THE EXACT LOCATIONS OF WHERE WE WILL SHOOT?
At every wedding, the light is often different. It isn't always best to decide on a location prior to the wedding. I will always take into consideration ideas and end goals, then through the magic of fine art photography, I will create your wedding day to be completely bespoke. Every couple deserves originality in their photography.
I will always arrive early to a wedding and find the best locations with your concepts in mind too.
CAN I USE MY PERSONAL PHOTOS FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES TO ADVERTISE MY BUSINESS?
In some cases yes, but you will require written permission from us to do so. Commercial Photography, is licensed differently to personal photography and you will require a licence for each image you intend to use.
